I might have had a small part in its making, but I won’t be so self-indulgent
as to explain all the particulars here (especially because I have worries that the style
sheet is all screwy for some…er, many browsers.). Just wanted you to know
about it. I’ve been told it will begin filling up with entries later tonight or
tomorrow.
Progressiveteachers.org says this about the project, purpose(s), all of
which, for the most part, extend the efforts and initiatives of the C’s
progressive caucuses:
We are a coalition of individuals, interest groups, and caucuses who feel
that language, writing, and literacy are inseparable from issues of social
justice and public policy.

Sorry not to respond to your earlier email about the new progressive blog. I finally got there yesterday and it looks good. There were a number of postings from C’s resolutions.
I’ll be interested to see if the C’s activists turn out to be bloggers. C’s has been slow to discover the format.
Bumpy uptake, g r a d u a l discoveries of network dynamics–I’m okay with that. And I’ll be interested in what takes shape at the PT blog, too. As I contributed to setting it up, I kept hearing myself emphasizing linking to others and reading other blogs to make entries conversant. Comments will help, though, as they help all bloggers. And in light of the election results, lots of folks are thinking about overdue changes in the place where liberalism and public discourse converge.
nice work on that blog, Derek. I have high hopes for it. As for C’s being slow to discover the format: C’s is old. Blogs are young.
