Flew to Phoenix yesterday for the
\nannual<\/a>
\ncamp<\/a>.
\nLounged through the better part of yesterday recovering from soul-delay (what
\nGibson calls it), the effects of same-day cross-continental flight where heavy
\nlag sets in, where there is an inexact slowness in recombining as if after a
\nteleportation. That’s because I woke up in Syracuse Sunday morning at 4
\na.m. (which is 1 a.m. local time in Ariz.) for a short flight to JFK and then
\nthe long flight out here and I didn’t rest my head aside from a couple of
\ncatnaps until 10:30 p.m. local time. This adds up to a fuzzy dreaminess
\nand now I find it hard to say very quickly which day it is.<\/p>\n

Monday. Breakfast in a few minutes, followed by a winding bus ride from
\nthe city up to Whiteriver, where we’ll run sessions for two-and-a-half days. I’m
\nlooking forward to it very much, although there was a somber mood at last
\nnight’s reception because of what the councilwoman described as the ongoing
\nsuicide epidemic which has been especially tragic in this first week after the
\nhigh school graduation. I don’t know much more about it than that right
\nnow. <\/p>\n
