Coursework ended today.
\nOne month ago<\/a>
\nI wasn’t sure how it’d go getting to herenow, turning out three twenty-pagers
\n(on three disparate areas) along with presentations ranging from formal to
\ninformal attached to each. I was unnerved, anxious. Felt the time
\nslipping away. But I managed, plodding through several sprints of reading and
\nnotes capped with focused two-hour writing sessions, drumming out four pages in
\neach block. And the papers are, well, done at least. Turned in. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

A busy summer is up next. Tomorrow, yard work (rain! rain!). In
\nthe blurry short-term just beyond tomorrow, I’m helping Ph. line up summer work
\n(lawns mostly), teaching summer courses, moving CCC<\/i> Online along,
\nfinalizing exam lists and beginning to dig on that reading. I also have
\n
\na mini-seminar<\/a> to attend next Tuesday. In the name of professional
\ndevelopment, two mini-seminars are required of us each semester; this one counts for
\nthe fall. There’s also a trip next week for a two-day retreat to
\nBlue Mountain Lake<\/a> in the Adirondacks
\nand a trip to Phoenix for a few days in early June. <\/p>\n

Now I also need to think about forcing a few days of leisure. I’ve already
\nread up on Ex Machina<\/a><\/i>
\n(1-10) and Y: The Last
\nMan<\/a><\/i> (1-36). Watched
\nScratch<\/a><\/i> the other morning
\nwhen I was ODed on revisions. I haven’t been denied much of the NBA Playoffs,
\ndespite the end-of-semester crunch. <\/p>\n
