About
Welcome to Earth Wide Moth. I'm
Derek
Mueller, a PhD candidate in Composition and Cultural Rhetoric
at Syracuse University. Generally, my teaching and research concerns
writing, rhetoric, and technology; more specifically, I'm studying new
media and digital writing activity, mapping and geographies, ecological
psychology, visual modeling methods, close/distant reading as heuristic,
discourse analysis, networks, and theories of composing. I am now
writing my dissertation.
In addition to this blog, which occasionally strays from the domains of
professional and academic interests, I'm making use of Delicious and Flickr.
