Things III: Temporary Storage

The garage temporary houses piles of containers, stacked desks (listed at Craigslist, on the cheap!), mattresses (Ph. has gone with a futon), a jogging baby stroller (uh...would require jogging?), a decorative artificial tree (listed at Craigslist, cheap! cheap!), a travel crate for Y., etc. This list, continued to its limits, would become so long as to be unreadable.

Cargo

This is a shot of our holding bay (i.e., in-house storage unit) from yesterday. Today it does not look so piled up as this. Relocation involves a series of temporary storage spaces--relay stations. Ideally, the distance between such stations is short enough that carrying items from one to the next is not back-breaking.

Hey--what kind of jogging stroller? Are you listing that for cheap on Craig's list? :)

The one in the photo--a stroller we were given--is a "Jog n Fold Alloy" made by Fitness First. I'd guess it's at least eight or nine years old. We haven't used it much yet, but I haven't listed it on Craigslist because we have the best intentions about getting it on the street very soon.

I wasn't able to find new ones listed online, so I don't know whether this particular model is available any longer. In a couple of minutes of hunting around, I ran across what decent information here and here (including a reference to a store in El Cerrito, Calif., that carried the Jog n Fold a few years ago). Common considerations seem to be stride clearance and cornering. I would guess there are some decent used or resale alternatives on eBay if not Craigslist.
