Curd Age

To the Californian who was guided here today on a Google search for "cottage cheese expirations," I have only one insight to offer:

Seriously, it's not worth it.

Disclosure: I'm merely a fan of the cottage cheese, not an expert.

Great, now I'm craving cottage cheese. Only the low-fat (not regular or fat-free) will do.

Oh yeah: what does Ph. think of cottage cheese? Not many kids seem to like it, but I've always liked it. Do you plan on getting Is. started on it in toddlerhood?

I'd say that Ph. enjoys the cottage cheese, too. He hasn't protested, at least. As for Is., we haven't come to the fork in the cheeses road (one branch toward the cottage; one branch toward none). She had her first teething biscuit this evening, a full eight days before her seven mos.-day, which is when the biscuits were authorized by the pediatrician. But she's putting away the solids (sweet potatoes, pears, etc.) fairly well, and I picked up some of the baby yogurt the other day, so that's up soon on her menu. If I had to guess, I'd say she'll be enjoying the cottage cheese right along with the rest of us before too long.

Those cottage cheese haters don't know what they're missing.

Baby yogurt, aw! Stonyfield Farm? They're the only brand I know of that makes baby-specific yogurt.

That's right. Stonyfield Farm, in vanilla and banana flavors.

MMMM! cottage cheese. I think Is will like it.
