I set up tournament groups on ESPN (women's tourney) and Yahoo! (men's tourney). Would you like to join?  The groups are called Bloggers Big Dance (ID# 15703 for Yahoo! only) and the password is ewm. Shoot me an email if you have any questions: derekmueller at sbcglobal dot net. All are welcome, bloggers and non-bloggers alike. Each group will hold 50 people. What's at stake? Well, if the winner is a blogger, we should agree to laud the champ with comments. Otherwise, the winner gets abundant praise, admiration and bragging rights. Fair enough?

I've made my picks. Given that I have watched a grand total of four college basketball games, I'm guessing that you'll have a distinct advantage.

Hey, Chuck, I'm glad to see you signed in. It should be fun. You'll be fine if you stick with the ACC--GA Tech included. They're always at the top of the heap. I guessed through picks and ended up fixed in a long stare at the monitor accompanied by a "What the...?" after seeing that tourney winner is Stanford. Go Cardinal? I'm terrible at picking the tournament, really. But it's fun. Too much stock in underdogs--which explains a whole lot more about me than my tourney picks. -DM

Yeah, I was riding high one year--I nailed something like four upsets the opening week. Then I made the mistake of picking Georgia State to beat Maryland (who went at least to the final four, maybe won the whole thing). My bracket was toast.

I'm a little suspicious of Tech this year--they're pretty vulnerable to teams with good big men.

There. I've set up a women's tournament bracket, too. Yahoo! didn't have one available, so I had to cross over to ESPN where they take more personal information for marketing. Ah well, probably shoulda set up both brackets over at ESPN in the first place. But it's done. All the options laid out. I've got La. Tech sneaking the championship from the other 63 in the women's tourney. Twice as much fun as I set out to have when I orginally plotted this.
