Also of note, I put the final few words on the first draft of my CCCC paper. It needs to be reworked in a couple of places, but what stands is solid enough for tomorrow’s colloquium.

  1. Well, probably more like final-ish. The colloquium is a good motivator for getting it done well in advance of the conference–a chance to share a draft as a trial run, solicit response, and turn those around in the weeks ahead.

  2. Dang! I had two completely unrelated threads going when I got up at 5 am on the morning of. Where do you get the time to pull together a draft complete?

  3. I couldn’t tell you were working from a same-day draft, clo. In fact, I thought your talk was really polished, a strong opening gesture onto some significant questions. I found time for my work because it’s close enough to the diss that writing the CCCC paper is hand in hand with drafting my prospectus.
