Hello Whirled

Friends and internets, welcome Isabel Deidre Mueller!

Isabel

Quite. The. Day (since 10:50 p.m. last night, that is). D. and Is. are
healthy, resting. I’d go on and on about it if not for the vertiginous sleep deprivations. Finer
points: delivered at 1:30 p.m. this afternoon and measured in at 4 lbs., 7
oz. and 19".

Added: More photos.

  1. O.K., you lied! I think she is beautiful and thus, looks like her mama! I can’t wait to see her. The boys are excited and Tr. is already talking about his new “baby cousin”. Congratulations and welcome Isabel to the chaos!

  2. Wow!! Isabel picked one hot and memorable day to make her grand entrance. I’m so happy for you all.

    Congrats Dad, Mom, and brother….

  3. Adorable! Congraltmulations, as one of my students would say! (Sounds so much more festive than plain congratulations, doesn’t it?)

  4. Congratulations! I didn’t know she was expected so soon! Glad to know everyone is well. Give my best to Dottie (and to Ph, too.)

    Nice picture, dad.

  5. I’ve been married to the same woman for 33 years, Derek, and we have no children. It’s pleasing to know you the way I do, as an excellent course developer and teacher and then see the bright future you hold in your hands. You’re a credit to what you do. And, you have a wonderful life ahead! -Steve Lees

  6. Who knew that a game of Cranium could induce labor? Congrats to y’all! Can’t wait to meet Ms. Isabel. Reese sends her love, too.

  7. Love the photos. The family photo is great, but my favorite is of Ph holding Isabel and smiling into the camera–such a beautiful expression of joy.

  8. We are so happy for you! Welcome Isabel! She is BEAUTIFUL! Looks like she has long fingers….a piano player???? I can guarantee free lessons… We are anxious to see all of you.. Now….how do we get you back to Michigan??? I’m tickled “pink” that there is a new baby girl in the M clan after 21 years… WOW. You both are glowing!! Good Luck and see you soon… Isabel means Covenant with God.. We have been blessed. Thank-you! Thank-you! Thank-you! We love ‘Belle!!!

    Hugs and Love to all…

  9. Thanks, everybody, for the sweet-steady waves of support and joyful exclamations. D. and Is. should be coming home later today. I’ll have more to say about it soon. But know that everyone remains healthy and happy. I’ll also include a link to the photo from the hospital as soon as it’s up on growingfamily.com.
